Tour Plan
- 4:30 AM: Depart from Nairobi. The drive to Amboseli National Park typically takes around 4 hours, so leaving early will give you the best chance to maximize your time in the park.
- 8:00 AM: Arrive at Amboseli National Park. Pay the park entrance fees and prepare for your safari.
8:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Begin your game drive. Amboseli is famous for its large elephant herds and stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Look out for other wildlife such as lions, cheetahs, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, and various bird species. Make sure to visit Observation Hill for panoramic views of the park and the swamps below, which are teeming with wildlife.
- 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM: Have lunch at one of the lodges within the park or a designated picnic area. If you brought packed lunch, find a scenic spot to enjoy your meal.
1:00 PM - 3:00 PM: Continue your game drive, focusing on different areas of the park. Amboseli's varied landscapes include savannah, acacia woodlands, and marshlands, each offering unique wildlife viewing opportunities.
